The film is all about an ex-CIA "preventer" who has the daunting task of recovering his daughter after she was kidnapped by human trafficking sex-dealers in Paris, France. Bryan (Liam Neeson), a former secret agent living in the United States, is skilled in fighting hand to hand, divorced, and loves his 17-year-old daughter Kim (Maggie Grace). Kim lives with her mother and her mother’s new husband Stuart (Xander Berkeley). Kim wants to vacation in Europe with her friend Amanda (Katie Cassidy), and work together to U2's European tour. Kim's mother allows, but Kim also needs permission from her father. Since Kim Bryan is concerned about her safety and knowing well that he may not agree, she claims that they would stay only in Paris. Though with Reluctance, Bryan agrees. In Paris a seemingly friendly young man named Peter (Nicolas Giraud) proposes a taxi with them to the house where Kim and her boyfriend enters . However, the man works for an Albanian Mafia Albanian criminal organization, which he reports the address. In the House where she checked in , after a few minutes Kim receives a call from her father, where she then transferred to the bath. She sees from the bathroom window, men in the room and abducting Amanda. kim is in a position to provide critical information about the kidnappers in the final moments after she was kidnapped by them . Bryan had a brief conversation with one of the kidnappers, saying to him that if his daughter is relieved he may not chase them but the man smashes his daughters phone. With his contacts in the CIA and the business connections of the ex-wife’s husband, Bryan travels to Paris, to be informed that the kidnappers are sex slaves, and he only has 96 hours to save his daughter before they disappear for good. The particular kidnapper he had a conversation earlier was an Albanian named Marco. Under the eyes of Jean-Claude, himself a former deputy director of Homeland Security, Bryan locates the kidnappers, first by using the digital photos from the smashed remains of Kim’s phone to Peter, who later killed while Bryan chases him. With Haßlinger prostitutes Bryan is threatened by an Albanian gangster and plant a covert listening device on him. Using a translator he finds that the kidnappers have a brothel in a nearby construction site. After arriving,at the brothel Bryan acts like a customer, and makes his way inside begins to search for Kim. Unfortunately, he only finds her jacket, on another woman. He is discovered and has to flee with the girl. Nursing the girl back to health from an involuntary drug addiction, Bryan finds where the kidnappers took her, after she was abducted. Bryan heads to the address, and although he does not find Kim, he finds Marco, killing most of the hijackers, he searches for Kim, but finds Amanda, handcuffed to a bed and dead due to a heroin overdose. Torturing Marco, Bryan is able to ascertain that Kim was sold to a man named Saint Clair. Bryan visits Jean-Claude at home . Bryan shoots Jean’s wife on his arm, and holding Jean, discovers the location of Saint Clair from him. As a police officer he gets access to the building where new girls are sold. When he sees his daughter is sold, he forces a buyer to purchase it, but captured and knocked unconscious moments later. Saint Clair questions his identity before leaving his security forces to lead him. Bryan escapes and kills them before finding Saint Clair, and murder him after he learned that his daughter, was sold to Arab clients. Bryan manages to display the car his daughter is taken, and discovered that she has been abducted on a large motorboat. He jumps onto the ship from a bridge and kills all the people inside, finally, achieving the liberation of his daughter.
